project 365: october

The month of October was for teaching me to be vibrant like the leaves, no matter my state: to simply give life and make it.

It was a month of watercolor, car conversations, asking questions I never thought to ask, donuts, gourds and mini pumpkins, the color red, leaf crunches, and it was also filled with lucky finds and lucky keeps.

October was a month of gaining confidence in the state of things; learning that people have seasons, if you will.

project 365: september

September flew by. A pity, as it is one of my very favorite months of the year.

This month was one of finding great joy in being with old friends, and great delight in finding new ones. It was one for reunions and long, rich talks; my first ever taste of gelato (if you are ever in Portland, ME, try out Gelato Fiasco), lonely travel, the Atlantic, interlocked toes, star-spinning, golden hours, new business ventures, flower crowns, and fiery skies.

September was, like me, the beginning of a new season. One of challenge and fight. Funny, the way my seasons seem to follow that of the earth's.

project 365: august

This month was one for challenging thought, distance, and learning yet again to say goodbye with grace.

August was a month filled with moments of, "wow, look at that light!" It was one of firsts and lasts, of cute toddlers and cute hedgehogs, of empty rooms, thought-provoking coffee dates, and singing around fire pits. It was spiced up with thunderstorm chases, awakened childhood memories, and a rekindled passion to create.

August had the tendency to feel lonely, yet it brimmed with light and new starts.

project 365: july

July was for overcoming self, even when it meant a lot of tears and confusion.

It was a month of both rapid and static waters, road trips, checking off more bucket list items, oddball moods, jam sessions, flowery braids, hard lessons (always), and beautiful moments of pause.

This July was for adventure, as all Julys should be.

project 365: june

June was a month for relearning grace, confidence, and choosing not to speak.

It was a month of adventure, summer solstice, flowers-in-hair, bubbles, unexpected weddings, new starts, golden light, forgetting to take pictures, tans, and fireflies.

This was a month for checking off bucket list items (or at least one), and for healing.

project 365: may

The month of May was a month of stillness, of quiet, of waiting on the Lord.

It was a month of lovely bouquets, project beginnings, prayer, fog, job searches, spontaneity, coffee dates, photographs of new faces, loss, airports, the first mosquitos of the summer, and plans for the future.

May was a hopeful month despite growing pains; just the way spring is meant to be.

chicagoventure

Four hours in the car, two hours on the train, and a couple of numb faces later, here are some personal photos from a day trip to Chicago with my favorite a couple weeks ago.

snippets of argentina

Here are some little captures from my two months of adventure in northern Argentina. I loved every minute of it, and I keep looking back with fondness on these pictures.

northern england + scotland

Berrick-Upon-Tweed, a quaint English town on the coast of the North Sea. I was completely enchanted by this little place. Full of creativity, charm, and quite good fish & chips, Berrick-Upon-Tweed seemed to epitomize English culture for me.

Edinburgh, my favorite of the two cities we visited in Scotland.
